SFI Engine Management System
Process Control Engineering to the next level...
Click on the pictures to view full size -->OK, so I had this crazy idea for an electrical engineering project, take an engine which has 6 fuel injectors (was sequential fuel injected from the factory) and design a new Engine Management System (EMS). This engine doesn't have a distributor, it has 3 coil packs that were run as "Waste Spark" and I'm using it in a car that weighs 1/3 of the donor car so the factory EMS wouldn't work properly.
Luckily there is a group designing an Open Source EMS whose goals are similiar to mine, for more information check out their FreeEMS site at: DIYEFI.org
This is a work in progress, so stay tuned...
